FULL ORCHESTRA, CHORUS, AND SOLOISTS: One night only!
The Boulder Bach Festival Chorus, Orchestra, and Soloists conducted by Zachary Carrettin, perform four masterpieces by Johann Sebastian Bach:
BWV 4 Christ lag in Todesbanden
BWV 50 Nun ist das Heil und die Kraft
BWV 61 Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland
BWV 63 Christen, ätzet diesen Tag
These extraordinarily beautiful works examine profound and poetic texts while traversing Bach’s harmonic labyrinth, featuring Front Range favorite vocal soloists and instrumental artists, and the acclaimed BBF Chorus and Orchestra.
This performance is the “main course” of our series of concerts, and is one to be experienced. You'll hear some of the
finest vocal soloists on the continent, including mezzo-soprano Abigail Nims, tenor Derek Chester, soprano Josefien Stoppelenburg, and bass-baritone Ashraf Sewailam.
The Boulder Bach Festival Chorus, Orchestra, and acclaimed Vocal Soloists join together to present some of J.S. Bach’s most compelling, uplifting, and powerful musical art works.
